Saffron Bisiker

Saffron is a filmmaker from Vancouver Island, Canada. Born in Calgary, Alberta, her family moved to Vancouver Island when she was one. Saffron began her career in the performing arts at the age of five, appearing in local plays around Qualicum Beach. At the age of twelve, she shifted her focus to film and TV, taking several film and acting classes in Nanaimo. Since then, she has directed, written, and produced several films, including the World War II short film We Are Just Soldiers and won the CineCentral's Best Film award for her one-minute short film Karen, which she worked on with her best friend. Saffron is excited to host the Qualicum Beach Film Festival and looks forward to seeing you there.
